Chapter 1
MORE FREQUENT NON-CYANOTIC HEART DISEASES:With increased pulmonary circulation: - Atrial septal defect
- Ventricular septal defect
- Patent ductus arteriosus
- Atrial septal defect with partial anomalous venous return
- Endocardial cushion defects
With normal pulmonary circulation: - Pulmonary stenosis
- Stenosis of the pulmonary branches
- Obstructive malformations on the left heart:Coarctation of the aorta
Aortic valve stenosis - Cardiomyopaties as Endocardial fibroelastosis, cardiac lucogenosis, malformations of the coronary arteries, etc.
- Aortic arch malformations
- Malformations of the mitral valve
MORE FREQUENT CYANOTIC HEART DISEASES: With increased pulmonary circulations: - Complete transposition of the great arteries
- Double outlet right ventricle
- Taussig-Bing syndrome
- Pulmonary arteriovenous fistula
- Total anomalous venous return
- Truncous arteriosus (type I, II and III)
- Hypoplastic left ventricular syndrome:
Aortic atresia Hypoplastic aortic artery Mitral valve atresia
With normal pulmonary circulation or diminished pulmonary circulation: - Tetralogy of Fallot
- Tricuspid atresia
- Hypoplastic right ventricle
- Ebstein anomaly
- Pulmonic stenosis or atresia with ASD
- Single ventricle with pulmonic stenosis
- Eisenmenger syndrome
- Truncous arteriosus (type IV)
